Parents Stand Up Now…& Take Action!!

I told my kids school Assistant Super Attendant for LEISD in Little Elm, Texas that I wanted alternatives for my children or to be excuse from school on the day of schools participation in the President Barack Obama’s September 8th address to children across the nation.

I called my kids school immediately upon hearing of this short coming announcement by Obama Administration, here is the results of me calling the kids school today;

When I called the school I had first asked this question:

Will my kids school be participating in the President Barack Obama’s September 8th address to all school children nation wide?

This is the LEISD Assistant Super Attendant’s answer…

We are not participating in the live version, but we are going to record it for the teachers to use at a later date.

Again I restated my question to the Assistant Super Attendant for LEISD,

Will my kids school be participating in the President Barack Obama’s September 8th address to school children nation wide?

Again the Assistant Super Attendant for LEISD restated the previous answer that

LEISD is not participating in the live version, but we are going to record it for the teachers to use at a later date.

So after hearing the same answer twice from the Assistant Super Attendant I replied with this statement,

so you’re not participating with a live version, but the teachers will be participating with a recorded version at a later date…

and I was really shocked to here the Assistant Super Attendant’s response.

No, we are not allowing the kids to participate in the live version on September 8th, however, the teachers will be recording the President Barack Obama’s address to use at a later date in their classrooms however they see fit…

Wait doesn’t that still mean participation…YES!!

So I requested that if there is such a recording of the President Barack Obama’s September 8th address to be viewed in the classrooms at a later date, that my kids were to be excluded in addition to be given alternatives in learning more about what the Founding Father’s intended for my children to learn. I’d went on to say that a response is needed back from the schools in a few days on what their intentions are going to be for using this recorded version in the future. Also, I informed the Assistant Super Attendant in closing that if parents were excluded or if they did not follow proper educational protocol to obtain parental consent on viewing this recorded video in the future, that I would be forced to request a meeting with the school board, superintendent, and principal to inquire as to why “we the parents” were excluded from this decision!!

When I first heard that President Barack Obama’s on September 8th was going to be addressing my children in school…

“I was as mad as hell, and just I’m not gonna take it anymore”

Obama & Administration….let this be a clear message,

Do not mess with my kids, we are the parents, and I decide what is best for them, not you, not your administration, and clearly not your boot lickers!!

Follow these same steps I took provided by the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition.

The four steps propose by the Coalition:

1. Contact the child’s school to find out whether or not your school is participating in the president’s September 8th program.

2. If your child’s school is participating, ask what alternatives there are for the children of families who wish their students learn about the establishment of the country respective to the Founding Father’s intentions. Discussion can focus on the Constitution, the definition and actions of a republic, and the responsibility of elected leaders to their constituents.

3. Ask if the school can excuse your child from the presentation and instead receive a DVD of the address and copy of the activity directives to be evaluated by parents at a later date.

4. Request meeting with the school board, superintendent, and principal to inquire as to why parents were excluded from the decision-making process of this event.
